This two-day birdwatching tour begins at the Verdeplata Lookout, ideal for hummingbird photography. We continue to Hostal El Papiro to enjoy a local breakfast while birdwatching from a natural gazebo. Then we visit the Peñas Blancas River, habitat for aquatic species such as the torrent duck.
A typical lunch is served at Mi Ranchito, followed by a visit to the Los Yarumos Nature Reserve in La Leonera, where trails and an observation tower offer opportunities for birdwatching. The day concludes with overnight accommodation in La Leonera, surrounded by nature.
The second day begins with breakfast at Truchilandia and a hike along high mountain trails up to 2,600 meters above sea level, home to Andean species. After lunch, we continue spotting oropendolas and tanagers, and we close the experience with a visit to the Andean cock-of-the-rock lek, an unmissable natural spectacle.
